Record Breaker is a real time capture and glitch sampler built around the physics of a broken record. Feed any loop, vocal, or drum bus into the engine. Press the capture button to freeze that audio onto a spinning vinyl disc and shatter it into pieces. As the platter turns, the needle rides over each shard, replaying a completely different slice of the original sound. This tool provides organic motion that you play live.
Standard glitch tools loop a single buffer on a rigid grid. Record Breaker introduces physical unpredictability.
The secondary controls add deep texture. The Noise knob fills empty spaces with authentic vinyl crackle and hiss. The Speed and Pitch controls operate independently, allowing you to slow the scatter while keeping the pitch steady, or detune the audio without altering the rhythm.
