Ritual is the debut EP from SFTGLD (soft gold), exploring how discipline derives from necessity . It contains five movements of ambient exploration, motivated by the systems people build to hold themselves together. And how certain breakthroughs only come after sacrifice. This project was made to incite peace and calm, when the noise gets to be too much. Your focus returns. Breathing slows. The room goes quiet.
Every sound on this record was designed by hand on analog and modular gear, then shaped with custom Fischer Music Club plugins providing texture, movement and clarity. This CD holds the warmth of that analog signal and gives it back every time you press play.
